Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is most well recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS show 'Mom.' As a California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Then, she made the decision to follow a career of acting. Her first screen appearance was an episode in 2010 of the CBS show 'NCIS. A year later, her first big-screen appearance made it into the biographical drama film J Edgar. Over the next few years, she established herself among the best young actors working today. She won an award nomination to the Young Artist Award, Best performance by a Young Actress on a TV Series for her role in the show "NCIS". She was also nominated in 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time for her appearance as a guest in the comedy series of Disney XD "Kickin' It". Calvano was part of the ensemble cast of Mom throughout its first three seasons and was featured on several occasions in the fourth. Her performance being a rising star in Mom was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is awarded to female actresses.
